Our story is quite simple. In 1985 our founder, Angelo Christou, opened Sunset Grill’s doors for the first time in the Beaches area of Toronto, Ontario. Armed with the basic philosophy that Fresh is Tastiest®, Sunset Grill quickly developed long lineups of loyal customers. With huge popularity and consistent service, it quickly became the place to be for the best breakfast in town.
It is said that when something works, don’t change it. After almost 40 years in business, we realize that while the world around us has evolved, our concept and methods have not changed. After all, good food, fast service and a pleasant experience is what a successful restaurant is all about.
Our food and preparation methods are 5-star inspired and quality is never sacrificed. All our menu items are cooked fresh to order using healthy methods: flat top grills, pat dry bacon and nothing is ever deep fried. With choices such as our famous bacon and 3 eggs for breakfast or our flagship Sunset Burgers for lunch, we invite you try our restaurants for an experience you can count on!

I visited the Richmond street location twice last year when I was in Toronto, which had a lively breakfast vibe: bright, cheerful, and filled with the smell of bacon. The friendly conversations and the sound of plates created an energetic atmosphere. The menu at Sunset Grill featured classic breakfast items, including fluffy omelets and syrupy pancakes. I chose the Classic Breakfast – two eggs, ham, home fries, and toast. It may be a simple choice, but it’s a true test of a breakfast spot. Sunset Grill did not disappoint.
The eggs were perfectly cooked, the ham was perfect and the home fries were well-seasoned. I also saw other tempting options like Belgian waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream, and popular Eggs Benedict. I plan to return to try those!
The service was also great; our server was attentive and kept our coffee filled. These little things made the dining experience even better. Overall, I had a great time at Sunset Grill and visit it every-time I'm in Toronto.
