Burger Revolution

I decided to go for their namesake burger, the "Revolution Burger." This beauty boasted a perfectly cooked, locally-sourced beef patty, topped with crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, tangy pickles, and their signature Revolution sauce. From the first bite, I was impressed. The patty was flavorful and juicy. The toppings were fresh and well-balanced, complementing the beef without overpowering it. The Revolution sauce added a creamy, slightly sweet element that tied everything together beautifully. Beyond the Revolution Burger, the menu offers a solid selection of other tempting options. The fries were another highlight. Perfectly golden and crispy, they were clearly made in-house and seasoned just right. And for those looking for something different, they also offer poutine, onion rings, and other classic sides. While the food definitely shines, the service at Burger Revolution is also noteworthy. The staff were friendly, and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience at Belleville's Burger Revolution.

The Big Apple Colborne

The Big Apple in Colborne, Ontario, isn't just a quick pit stop; it's a fun and unforgettable experience. The huge apple structure is definitely a photo op you don't want to miss, attracting visitors from all over. Inside, there's a lively marketplace packed with apple-themed items, fresh fruits, and a tasty selection of baked goods. While the food might be a little on the expensive side, the unique vibe and charm of the Big Apple make it worth the trip, especially for families with kids. Plus, the mini-golf course and petting zoo add to the fun, giving you a chance to get outside and enjoy some leisure time.

Sunset Grill Toronto

I visited the Richmond street location twice last year when I was in Toronto, which had a lively breakfast vibe: bright, cheerful, and filled with the smell of bacon. The friendly conversations and the sound of plates created an energetic atmosphere. The menu at Sunset Grill featured classic breakfast items, including fluffy omelets and syrupy pancakes. I chose the Classic Breakfast – two eggs, ham, home fries, and toast. It may be a simple choice, but it’s a true test of a breakfast spot. Sunset Grill did not disappoint. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the ham was perfect and the home fries were well-seasoned. I also saw other tempting options like Belgian waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream, and popular Eggs Benedict. I plan to return to try those! The service was also great; our server was attentive and kept our coffee filled. These little things made the dining experience even better. Overall, I had a great time at Sunset Grill and visit it every-time I'm in Toronto.

Mandarin Restaurant

For our 36th wedding anniversary, my husband and I travelled from out of town to celebrate. As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by a cozy and inviting ambience, and the incredible selection of food was truly impressive. It was delightfully overwhelming! We chose the buffet to enjoy a diverse range of dishes. While everything was enticing, I was particularly drawn to the lemon chicken, while my husband had his eye on the shrimp. The buffet also featured a fantastic array of Asian-inspired options, including noodles, rice, spring rolls, dumplings, and a carving station with roast beef. There’s something to please every palate, even the most selective eaters. And we can't overlook the dessert bar, which offered everything from mini cakes to ice cream with a variety of toppings—a perfect way to conclude a wonderful meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed, even during the busy hours. If you're searching for a venue to mark a special occasion, whether it's an anniversary or any other celebration, the Mandarin Restaurant is definitely worth considering.

Frosty Bubble Bliss

Frosty Bubble Bliss truly lives up to its name, offering a delightful escape into a world of icy treats, and I can assure you, they do not disappoint! As soon as I stepped into Frosty Bubble Bliss, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The menu is quite impressive, featuring a diverse selection of options. What sets Boba Tea from Frosty Bubble Bliss apart is their use of cane sugar in their drinks. While many other boba tea brands rely on refined white sugar, Frosty Bubble Bliss opts for all-natural cane sugar to sweeten their beverages. This choice not only elevates the flavor, making it richer and more nuanced, but it also presents a healthier alternative! My personal favorite at Frosty Bubble Bliss is the fruit teas. Overall, my visits to Frosty Bubble Bliss are consistently outstanding.

Steam Whistle Kitchen

The atmosphere successfully combines elements of a café and a sports bar, providing both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The fish and chips I ordered included a generous serving of fish that was skillfully cooked. However, the children's menu seemed limited in choices and was somewhat pricey. Additionally, the restaurant is conveniently located near several attractions.

Halibut House Fish & Chips

One of the things that sets the Halibut House apart from other seafood restaurants is their friendly and attentive service. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a warm smile and a friendly hello. They are also quick to check in on your meal to ensure everything is to your liking. I opted for the classic halibut and chips, naturally. The halibut itself was flaky, moist, and perfectly cooked. The batter was light, crispy, and not greasy at all – a crucial point for any good fish and chips. You could tell the oil was fresh and clean, which makes a world of difference. The fries were exactly what I hoped for- thick-cut, and golden brown. The restaurant itself is a no-frills, classic diner-style setup. It's clean, comfortable, and has a welcoming atmosphere. I found the prices to be reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. You definitely get your money's worth here. I highly recommend giving Halibut House a try. You won't be disappointed! We will visit again when back to Kingston.
